The Launch Control System highlights a new adjustable hosel and interchangeable heel weight. The newly designed hosel allows players to change launch conditions using 8 settings and adding or subtracting up to 1 degree of loft. The EX9 driver Launch Control System's heel weight is specifically located for draw enhancement, helping golfers find the fairway. The standard 6-gram heel weight screw is housed in an 8-gram weight pad for 14 grams of deep heel weighting.

Generating faster club speed, engineers reduced aerodynamic drag by sloping the crown of the club head, adding speed at impact for maximum distance. The Power Grid on the EX9 has been narrowed, yet made deeper, increasing the spring-effect at impact. Notches along the back edge of the Power Grid enhance the flex at impact, increasing rebound across all areas of the face. New Hexagonal variable face thickness technology offers multiple levels of thickness that maximize launch speed from more points on the face, especially in the heel and toe areas.
